Purification Process

Step 1

  1. City water is piped into the water machine and goes through a sediment filter. The 5 micron pre-filter cleans the dirt and sediment collected in the water lines along the way to the store, your house, etc. This is done before it goes through the carbon filtration.
  2. Step 2

  3. Carbon Filtration in the form of either carbon filters or a carbon tank is next in line. Carbon takes out chlorine, chloramines, solvents, lead, insecticides, gasses and other harmful contaminants.
  4. Step 3

  5. Reverse Osmosis (R.O.) removes substantial amounts of most inorganic chemicals (such as salts, metals, minerals) most microorganisms including cryptosporidium and giardia, and most (but not all) inorganic contaminants.
    How does Reverse Osmosis work?
Reverse osmosis uses a membrane that is semi-permeable, allowing pure water to pass through it, while rejecting the contaminants that are too large to pass through the tiny pores in the membrane.
  6. Step 4

  7. Post Carbon Filtration is the last step before going into a holding tank. Clean purified water is run through one final carbon filter to ensure great taste.
  8. Step 5

  9. When you vend your water the final stage is when the water leaves the tank and goes through ultraviolet light to sterilize your water.
    How does ultraviolet light work?
ultraviolet light (UV)-C rays penetrate the cells of harmful bacteria and viruses in our drinking water, destroying their ability to reproduce. Without this ability, these organisms die and no longer pose a health threat. It is a simple but very effective process, with the system destroying 99.99% of harmful microorganisms.

  10. The above five step process is one of the most thorough ways to purify water for home and light commercial applications available today. We take extra care with the maintenance and clean and sanitize our machines once to twice a week. We change our filters, R.O. membranes and UV lights before they expire not after. Our mission is to provide the best quality of water possible to our customers.
